Fleadh Folk - BBC & TG4, A joyful, culture-affirming celebration of Belfast’s shared musical roots, where traditional Irish, Ulster-Scots and contemporary folk artists come together in

The Mandela Hall to celebrate music across traditions, generations and languages.

With Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann coming to the city of Belfast for the very first time in 2026, we present a joyful, culture-affirming celebration of Belfast’s shared musical roots, where traditional Irish, Ulster-Scots and contemporary folk artists come together in Queen’s University to celebrate music across traditions, generations and languages. This programme paints a picture of a city alive with creativity, from Lambeg and bodhrán rhythms to fiddle tunes, pipes, song and dance, we celebrate Belfast, ‘Cois Cuan’, as an “ocean of music”: a place where traditions flow in, flow out, and flow together.

With the concert set in the historic surroundings of Queen’sUniversity Belfast, home to collections of both Ulster‑Scots and Irish Traditional Music, this warm, inclusive musical special brings together artists from across Ulster to celebrate the city’s rich, intertwined cultural heritage. The tone is vibrant, contemporary but deeply rooted in tradition, highlighting the shared musical currents that have shaped Ulster for centuries. With documentary inserts celebrating the traditions of both Ulster-Scots and Traditional Irish Music with new collaborations and music performed.

Féile na mBan - TG4

Set against the stunning backdrop of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, Féile na mBan  - Brigid Beo celebrates women-led artistry, ideas and community. Filmed over this vibrant three-day festival, this programme honours the legacy and spirit of Brigid, bringing together musicians, scholars, creators and cultural practitioners for a hour long special of live performance, conversation, creative exploration and social connection.

I gcoinne chúlra iontach Shlí an Atlantaigh Fhiáin in Éirinn, ceiliúrann Féile na mBan 2026 — Brigid Beo ó Bhun Dobhráin ealaín, smaointe agus pobal faoi stiúir na mban. Tugann an fhéile bhríomhar trí lá seo onóir d’oidhreacht agus do spiorad Brigid, ag tabhairt ceoltóirí, scoláirí, cruthaitheoirí agus cleachtóirí cultúrtha le chéile le haghaidh deireadh seachtaine fada de léirithe beo, comhrá, iniúchadh cruthaitheach agus nasc sóisialta.

Tugann an clár speisialta ‘As-Live’ faoi stiúir láithreora seo lucht féachana i dtimpeallacht an deireadh seachtaine: ag fíodóireacht ceol beo le chéile — ó sheisiúin dlútha cois farraige go príomhléirithe — taobh le gnéithe féile a leagann béim ar cheardlanna cruthaitheacha, ceardaíocht, cultúr, scéalaíocht agus tábhacht na nasc ban. Is ceiliúradh cumhachtach é ar spiorad Brigid in Éirinn nua-aimseartha.
